About Me

I am Eline Joling, a bilingual freelance journalist specialising in music.

​

I am originally from The Netherlands, but have been living in the UK for the past 5 years, and am currently based in Bristol.

 

Over the last couple of years, I have built up a vast portfolio of articles ranging from music related features and interviews to news stories about food and art exhibitions, as well as advertorials for a range of different companies. Please have a look under the 'Articles' section of my website for all of those.

I am the founder and editor of a  Pop-Punk magazine called Broken Parts. The first issue was released in May 2019 as part of my dissertation. I am currently in the process of getting the magazine started again. You can follow updates on it its facebook, read individual articles on the website or flick through the online magazine on the 'Broken Parts' section in the top bar of this website.

I have been published in a range of publications including The Sun's SFTW, BN1 Magazine, The Argus, BrightonLife, Lizzie's Lowdown and Discover Benelux.

Articles written include interviews and features with The Maine, White Denim, Sleeping With Sirens, Creeper, Will Joseph Cook and Demob  Happy.

Aside from writing articles, I have experience in design in the form of website building (Tumblr, WordPress, Wix) and magazine design using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. I received a first in all assessments involving design throughout my university course, you can find examples of my designs here.
