Harry Styles announced his debut solo album. The former One Direction member took to twitter to announce that the album, called Harry Styles, will be released on the 12th of May on Styles’ own label Erskine Records.
After the split of one of the biggest boybands of all time, Harry Styles hasn’t been sitting still. Besides starring in the upcoming World War II film ‘Dunkirk’, he already released his debut solo single ‘Sign Of The Times’ last week which went number 1, and now a debut album is confirmed and on its way.
Harry confirmed the speculations about a solo album by uploading two photos to his twitter earlier this week.
The first picture uploaded by the former boy band star showed the back side of the album sleeve, which consists of a list of the 10 songs on the album and a small photo showing Harry shoulder-deep in pink water. The second picture shows the album cover, where Styles is again portrayed in the pink water, but this time with his back turned to the camera in an intimate position.
The two pictures were soon followed by another tweet with a pre-order link for Harry’s solo debut.
The 23 year old already released a few solo songs in the year leading up to the band’s hiatus and after the break up, but it seems that ‘Sign Of The Times’ is the song that leaves Styles’ boyband years behind and marks the start of his solo career.
